Meet Frenchie
Around the harbor, she’s become known as Frenchie the Sassy Sea Pirate — a Pittsburgh transplant with a love for Galveston, a weakness for the water, and a habit of showing up on the dock with enough personality to make sure nobody forgets her.
Frenchie’s story is part real life, part harbor legend, and completely Island Tours of Galveston.
It includes dolphins, high heels, an old concrete ship called the SS Selma, and another mysterious Frenchy whose story has been floating around Galveston Bay for generations.
